Open Access & Licensing
JND operates a hybrid access model. Authors choosing open access grant readers free, permanent access to their article under the terms below.
Open Access Licence โ CC BY-NC 4.0
Open access articles published in JND are licensed under CC BY-NC 4.0. You are free to share and adapt the work with attribution, provided it is not used for commercial purposes.
Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
Remix, transform, and build upon the material.
You may not use the material for commercial purposes.
Author Copyright Retention
Authors of open access articles retain copyright in their work. By submitting to JND, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive licence to publish, distribute, and archive the article.
Authors of subscription articles assign copyright to KNDI upon acceptance, in accordance with the Licence to Publish agreement provided at that stage.
Subscription Access
Articles published under the subscription route have their abstracts freely accessible to all visitors. Full text, including PDF download, requires institutional access or individual subscription.
To enquire about institutional access or to request a single article, contact kndijournal@kndi.institute.
Self-Archiving & Preprints
Authors may post their accepted manuscript (post-peer-review, pre-copyediting) to an institutional repository or preprint server immediately upon acceptance, provided a link to the published version on JND is included.
The final published PDF may be self-archived by open-access authors after publication (subject to CC BY-NC 4.0 terms). Subscription authors should wait 12 months after publication before self-archiving the final PDF.
