All articles published in JND are fully open access — freely available to all readers immediately upon publication, at no cost. JND charges no submission fees; an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 50 applies upon acceptance.

All articles published in JND are licensed under the CC BY 4.0 licence. You are free to share, adapt, and use the work for any purpose, including commercially, provided appropriate credit is given.

You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the licence, and indicate if changes were made.
Publisher Rights
The journal (Kenya Nutrition & Dietetics Institute — KNDI) is granted the right to publish, distribute, and archive all accepted articles in perpetuity. Authors retain copyright in their work.
By submitting to JND, authors grant KNDI a non-exclusive licence to publish and disseminate the article under CC BY 4.0 terms.
Article Processing Charge (APC)
An APC of USD 50 per accepted article applies. This fee supports editorial management, peer review coordination, production, online hosting, and long-term archiving. No fees are charged at submission or during the review process.
Authors who are unable to pay may apply for a waiver. See the Article Processing Charges page for full details on the fee schedule and waiver policy.
Self-Archiving & Preprints
Authors may post their accepted manuscript (post-peer-review, pre-copyediting) to an institutional repository or preprint server immediately upon acceptance, provided a link to the published version on JND is included.
The final published PDF may be self-archived immediately after publication under CC BY 4.0 terms.
